I use swift pro, but it’s not necessary, because the program itself starts with core crashed, independently of uarm plugged in or not. I’m using a Windows version on a virtual machine now, it’s almost ok. Maybe it’s my local Python issue? What should I do?

I’m shocked really. To see this thread going on this long with no resolution.
I just got my uArm Swift Pro and installed the Studio software only to get this same error. I’m not using virtual anything either.
I’m going to try a different machine, and if that works, then I’m suspecting the Mac OS version - which this iMac is running El Capitan…so it may be out of date. I’m running Sierra on my MBP, so I’ll update and let you all know.
** UPDATE **
I ran the software successfully on the updated OS of my MacBook Pro. I am guessing it was that. I’m all connected and going to dive in now finally!

@woohoowebs – A friend and I bought Swift Pro at the same time. He is running OSX 10.12.5 and is having the uarmcore problem. I am running 10.12.4 and do not have the uarmcore problem (I have other, possibly hardware related problems)

Same problem here. “UArm Core” quits unexpectedly upon launch of UArm Studio and fails to connect to the UArm.
I am on MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 and UArm Studio 1.1.12
Disappointing so far, hoping for a fix soon so I can play with this thing!

We’re now testing a new uarmcore with several users who experienced the same problem. Will post an update as soon as the problem is solved.

I am having the same problem. System fails to recognize the arm in either USB mode or Bluetooth mode. Appears to be a problem with uArm Studio. I am also running OS 10.12.5. Studio needs a slight rewrite to make it work.

@cleo Until uArmStudio version 1.1.12 is fixed for Mac OS, some users are just helplessly waiting when you could make 1.0.50 available for download on your website in Mac download section or on GitHub, which could get them started with a version that doesn’t crash.
We’ve located the problem of uarmcore, will fix it this week, and publish a new version of Studio.

I have the same issue. On my small MacBookPro from 2014 uarmStudio works fine.
But on my big Retina MacBookPro from Mid 2012, I get the uarmcore crash when uarmStudio starts up.
I.e. it never even connects to the arm.
And this is using the latest uarmStudio 1.1.12!

The debug build is already available. We’ve located the uarmcore crash problem with users’ log files.
And a beta version of the new Studio will be out soon.

@Cleo You’ve posted “soon” since a couple days ago, and now (00:45 @ GMT+0900) your download site has lost all links for downloading executable files for Win/Mac/Linux, with no notice. Please provide a more specific target publish date (“soon” is too vague) at the forum or at the download site. And please also consider providing release notes with every version update so we know what’s fixed and what’s not yet, etc.
