Laser follows the pattern also laser light is on but doesn't burn

I just got my Uarm but when I tried to engrave some shapes laser didn’t work. Blue laser light turns on and it follows the pattern but doesn’t burn. What is wrong with it???

Probably not focused enough, or material too strong?

Regarding material, the laser is enough for papers, and can burn leather, wood etc but not for instance metal.

Regarding focus turning the silver knob where the laser lights comes from focuses the laser. You can see if it gets more or less focused, but when getting close to perfect, it is almost best to just try it out with very small adjustments to make it just right.
