Hi, when i try to use laser engraving, it seems that the position is wrong where the laser points to. From my understanding this could be a calibration problem. So hiw can i calibrate the robot??

I found another thread where some positions are to try, here’s the video for that, seems some zero positions are not correct:

thanks!

Hi alex,

As the video shows, your uArm works fine.
For laser engraving, it’s recommended to put the pattern between B and C.

If you still think there’s a calibration problem, please show me a photo of your screen & the result of the engraving, thanks!

The basic positioning is a bit off-axis to right and the position of the laser doesnt equal to the position on the screen.

Here the video in a bit better quality:

Hi alex,

I think you misunderstand the meaning of “zero point”
If you put your mouse over the question mark before “Adjust zero point”, you’ll see the explanation that, to adjust the zero point, you need to let the laser touch the surface of whatever engraved, so that uArm will know the height of the platform, and can go to the height for better focusing.
