Connecting Harvard Syringe pump to xArm 6

I have a syringe pump that I need to connect to a robotic arm (xArm) for communication, and I plan to use Digital I/O for both devices via D15 open-end cable. However, I don’t have a strong background in electronics.

Could you please tell me which pins should be connected based on the attached image? Additionally, are there any modifications or adjustments I need to make for the setup to function properly?

Thank you for your assistance!

Best regards,
Mohammadreza

Hi Mohammadreza,

Would you please share the specifications of your devices?
For more details, please refer to the user manual Chapter 2.5 - control box electrical IO.

Minna

Thanks Minna for the reply.

I want to control the syringe pump via xArm control module to start and stop. The pump is going to attach to customise end effector liquid dispenser. I have seen a demo of glue dispenser end effector on YouTube of Ufactory. I wanna make something like that.

There is no limitation in communication. I can go with RS485 as well if possible.

Hi Mohammadreza,

It’s controlled by controller’s CI, CO and a relay.
I can’t provide better suggetsios as I didn’t know the specs of your equipment, you can try it yourself first, or send the specs to support@ufactory.cc>, we will check.

Best regards,
Minna
