Magnetic end effector

Hi,

I am considering building a small magnetic end effector using neodymium magnets that could hold up to 1kg. Is it safe to attach this type of magnet to the flange of the Lite6? Will it not interfere with its electronics? Are there any considerations I should be aware of?

Hi Azurenoise,

It should be fine if it is not a strong magnet, there’s no encoder on the end, it’s best to keep the magnets away from the joints, there is encoder inside the joint.
And the payload of our Lite6 is 600g, can’t hold 1kg.
