ROS2 Humble Port

Hi!

Humble is the current LTS ROS2 version. I tried to compile the galactic branch (GitHub - xArm-Developer/xarm_ros2: ROS2 developer packages for robotic products from UFACTORY) in humble but it’s throwing several errors. When are you planning to update the package?

We have no plan to update, currently ROS2 Humble needs the ubuntu 22.04 version.

Yes, Humble targets Ubuntu 22.04, although it could be installed in 20.04 as well. Does the robot arm has any problem running in 22.04?

Our team is planning to use Humble because all packages we need are already ported, except this one.

We have not tested on Ubuntu 22.04, and do not support humble for now. We will add it into to-do list, will let you know once humble is supported.
