WHAT IS THE (X,Y,Z) range of UARM SWIFT and calibration Doubt of UARM SWIFT?

Hello ,

I am using UARM SWIFT and I am currently newbie to this whole robotics field. I have heard that it has an working range of (50 - 320 mm). But I don’t know what it actually means here. Can someone tell me What is the range of positions that I can give to move my Robotic Arm(i.e)Minimum and Maximum Range of (x,y,z) Co-ordinates to which UARM SWIFT can move?? and What does working range of 50-320 mm mean??

Do we need to calibrate UARM SWIFT before using it (or) else is it already calibrated in Factory itself during production . If we need to calibrate pls mention how to do it??

KINDLY HELP ME IT’S AN URGENT NEED!!!

Thanks a lot in Advance

Hi,
due to the mechanics of the uArm the volume the arms can reach is not easily described, you can find a drawing in the uArm developers guide http://download.ufactory.cc/docs/en/uArm-Swift-Pro-Develper-Guide-171221.pdf
this should also apply to your uArm Swift since Swift and Swft Pro share the same mechanics AFAIK, if in doubt check the measurements on page5.
